Juneteenth should be a day of celebration of freedom. A day of positive thought. We donât celebrate the Fourth of July and talk about how bad the British were. A never-ending victim mentality. Itâs not a way forward. 600,000 Americans died in the Civil War. Juneteenth should also be a day to remember that.
I volunteered to serve in the US Army, Military Police Corps when I was 17. It was the early 1970s. I was supporting the direction our nation was moving in.
