  1. Egypt has no kontribution to water but blame & even threatens Ethiopia . The river erodes Ethiopian fertile soil for thousends of years . Right now the Tana had start growing some kind plantation which in a near future can dry the lake unless it is removed & for this Ethiopia spends a lot money every year. Knowing this problem neither Egypt nor Sudan tried to give a hand . Forest has the main contribution to rain against the two down stream countries has done nothing in helping Ethiopia; instead they threated Ethiopia as the enemy. They deny Ethiopia's right to use its own water .
There are many countries in the world that desalinate seawater and use it to solve their water problems. Egypt & Sudan did not even try other alternatives to solve their water problem; instead, they are engaged in supporing rebels to distablize Ethiopia it is very primitive to think & take subbotage as a solution than woriking together for a afre share which is the only & best solution.

  2. From Israel, do not mess with the Egyptian army because it is the strongest army and the only army that we cannot fight with because it will wipe Israel off the map because the entire Israeli army is made up of women and we have nothing but homosexuals

  4. Correction on GERD Investment
We urge you to correct your reporting on the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam (GERD) investment. The actual cost is over $5 billion, fully funded by Ethiopians. This contradicts earlier reports of a $4 billion investment. We request that you accurately reflect the financial commitment made by our nation.

    Historical Context and Current Tensions
Egypt's historical attempts to invade Ethiopia have been met with defeat, notably in 1875 and 1876. Unfortunately, Egypt continues to destabilize our country by supporting fringe groups. Former US President Donald Trump blocked aid to Ethiopia, intended for education, medicine, and agriculture, allegedly in support of Egypt. Since he returned to the White House this year, he blatantly announced to the world that the United States funded the GERD. This claim about US funding for the dam are baseless and a shameless LIE.

GERD's Significance to Africa in general and Ethiopia in particular is immense for development of us all. Already, Ethiopia have connected Djibouti, Kenya, Sudan, Tanzania and eventually Uganda in short order. All the leg work to include Uganda is underway. The number of countries requesting access to Ethiopia's power is increasing daily. Ethiopia's GERD has become a blessing to our region and eventually to the entire continent. Egypt and Sudan will be saved from the danger of flooding. Ethiopia will be a blessing to both Egypt's and Sudan's growth not an impediment.

The GERD is Africa's largest hydroelectric project, generating over 5,400 megawatts of electricity. Initially planned with 16 turbines producing 6,500 megawatts, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reduced the turbines to 13, resulting in 5,400 megawatts. Many Ethiopians are unhappy with this decision, perceiving it as a concession to Egypt.

Sadly, history will not be kind to Abiy Ahmed's cowardly act. It was stupid and unwise. He had no right to do that. This is a national flagship and the peoples project not something he can alter capriciously because he wanted to be liked by Al=Sisi of Egypt. The ungrateful Al=Sisi of Egypt still instigating and fomenting destabilization in Ethiopia as all of his predecessors by conspiring with Somalia, Sudan, Djibouti and Eritrea who all happen to be countries surrounding Ethiopia. None of this wicked governments amount to anything as far as, we Ethiopians are concerned. They know better not to mess with Ethiopia. Ethiopia is marching forward to develop and modernize. We don't need no once permission to use our God given endowment as we see it fit to our development while observing all international laws and norms. Let our detractors continue to bark we have no time to such nonsense. We are too busy working to grow and expand our economy for the benefit of our people and the rest of our brothers and sisters in our continent we love so much.

  5. Agreement b/n Egypt and UK?? 😂😂The water comes from Ethiopia 😂😂😂But Ethiopia was not in the agreement. UK was representing Sudan. How can you call this a treaty or an agreement 😂😂😂two countries agree on the water that comes out of other country. It shows how you, journalists are ignorant and stupid 😂😂😂you are given the news agenda from Egypt or from Al Jazeera, and you repeat it like parrot 😂😂😂

  6. Unfortunately Ethiopia is threatening to invade ports of sovereign neighboring countries in order to gain sea access and if war breaks out this dam is a target and is at great risk for destruction.

  7. The moment they mentioned a butcher clonial masters Era unfair agreement as a basis everything becomes unacceptable
Talk to us like your African brothers instead of being carried on the shoulder of your former masters and act agressive
