The U.S. has controversially flown two batches of deportees to Africa, most of them are not Africans. The first batch landed in South Sudan in early July. This week, another batch was offloaded in Eswatini. The Africa-bound deportees are convicted criminals, whose countries have refused to take back. In the backdrop of widespread domestic outrage, the U.S. Supreme Court has authorized Trump’s populist election policy mass deportation of immigrants.

Africans what is wrong with our leaders? Those people that y’all are accepting are serial killers and y’all are taking them into the continent.
Well they are in the US illegally, regardless how they originally came. And they are returned to their country of orgin (or where they can legally go). In the beginning, Trump gave them the option to self-deport (with the potential to come back legally). But warned that if they didn't, ICE officers would be sent to arrest them, and they would stay in a detention center till they could be seen in court (due to them being in lock up, the courts are seeing them within 30 days). Trump warned them that if they didn't self-deport, that this would count against their potential of ever being able to come back legally. Also ICE is arresting the worse ones first (such as those who have committed crimes).
I looked into it cause I was sad for some Iranian Christians getting arrested in LA. One man having been here since the 90's and having 3 sons in the military. I'm hoping this protects him from having to leave. But the question is… Why didn't he ever make it legal? I mean, he was in the US for over 25 years, having a clean record and has 3 sons in the military, surely he could have made it legal? What is the problem? Money? Does he need help? And he left Iran due to religious persecution and is scared to go back? I've been praying for him.
I'm hoping he's able to get legalized even though he didn't self-deport, but obviously if he's scared to go back to Iran, where was he suppose to self-deport to? I've been saying from the start that if you are not legalized, and even if you are unsure of you status, you need to seek help. I would have probably gone directly to the police, or social workers, who are working with these situations everyday and usually just want to help. Though there's some bad ones out there too that may have hatred for immigrants because of problems with other immigrants, so be careful and listen to you gut (approach with caution). Of course if you have the money for it or if you have concerns, go to a lawyer first. I don't know this man's circumstances, but it sounds like he should be should have already been legalized, so his probably did need the lawyer, especially cause of the high stakes (fear of going to Iran). I think now that he is arrested that he'll be given an attorney. I think it can help his case if people come to his court hearing (his sons or other church members if possible). Since 2 of his sons are active duty, if they are unable to come, it would be helpful if they can make a video or write a statement in his defense for the court evidence. Please don't give up hope, cause there are many christians praying. And if he does have to go back to Iran, I think God could be sending him to reach others. Sometimes God's plans for us is unclear, but we know He's in control. And this one man's story has already touched hearts around the world, maybe that's why he's going through this, to reveal the truth about what he escaped in Iran, to teach us about christian persecution and help us open our hearts to see that some illegal immigrants are good and a blessing. I'm hoping that America will be the one who wants to keep you and will get you legalized so you don't ever have to go through anything like this every again.
