Reporter Symeon Brown investigates whether these women are rewriting the rules of romance, or paying the highest price in a dangerous game.

Slay Queens flaunt luxury lifestyles online funded by wealthy men they call “blessers”, and inspire both admiration and anger. To their followers, they’re glamorous entrepreneurs breaking free from poverty and oppression. To their critics, they’re dangerous gold diggers who blur the lines between dating, sex work, and scams.

Brown meets Eva Modika, self-styled Queen of the North, who insists men are ATMs and that her lavish life is a form of empowerment.

But behind the glitz, Brown uncovers darker realities: women hunted by gangs, and young teenagers who are trafficked after being lured into transactional relationships.

  1. Its sad though that they chasing " the bags" to not even really see what they do with the money. Taught I was going to see a mansion of some sort at one of the influencers home. But ke, all these risks for what??? Am confused

  2. These men only want them for their bodies and these women want money. So, its a fair trade. If there is no demand, there wont be any produce. These men deserve what they got. They know the type of women they want and now they act as the victims. If you want a woman of good character you need to have that too. Also, there is no wrong if a woman is high maintenance, many man ran after them even if they have family.I don’t condone this behaviour but many man, even married are always chasing girls, so they deserve what they get.And for people trafficking girls i hope they are all imprisoned and the women are all free.
