Speaker Menin just sent out a newsletter where she's claiming to pull 6 billion dollars out of nowhere, claiming antisemitism though not identifying any specific incidents, proclaiming legislation that there may not even be a need for where all responsibility is pushed off on the police commissioner, going on and on with nothing – it's the old corporate Democrat identity politics / make up numbers / do nothing nonsense. Corrupt politicians love to make empty claims and treat you like you're stupid. Enough of that. Remember we're facing the current budget shortfall in part because Adams and the Council worked together to pass irresponsible budgets that are coming due. Mamdani knows cuts are not going to be popular with his demographic, he wouldn't push cuts of any sort unless they were good and necessary – meanwhile Menin is pushing for additional expenditures on top of the supposed 6 billion she's pulling out of thin air. Think about it.
Menin is not wrong
Mamdani needs to cut the fat, especially the programs Adams created and de Blasio’s Thrive programs that do not work. Taxes should be the last option. He does not need to cut core public safety and quality of life services like the FDNY, NYPD, DOE, and Health Department. Costs will keep growing if the city continues funding ineffective programs and overstaffing certain agencies. I know some agencies are understaffed, so he needs to identify which ones truly need more support and which ones are bloated and should be cut.
Wether you like it or not ❤MAMDANI❤ Is the best 👍 NYC mayor. He is not corrupt like Coumo, he is not bribed like Adam and he is not demogoge like Bloomberg etc.

More Corporate lies from CBS. Menin represents one of the richest districts in the Council. Why did she win the Speakership? IMO the Council is dominated by Corporate interests opposed to Mamdani's policies. Mamdani is exposing Menin ( as well as Hochul) as another Wealthy Elite who does not care for the NYC Working Class and would rather follow what Bloomberg did during Great Recession, eg. cut child services and DOE budget. (Before this how many knew that Menin's husband is very wealthy real estate developer; now We all know!) Now it is time for Us to rally around Mamdani and support his policies!
