Violence is unacceptable & criminals need to be held accountable, whether they are South African or foreign. But the biggest issue is the hypocrisy. It’s hard to take the 'Pan-Africanism' cry seriously when it’s one-sided. You want the AfCFTA and 'free movement' to protect you from prejudice here, yet back home, many of those same voices are happy to persecute the LGBTQI+ Africans. You can’t demand human rights for yourself while denying them to others. If you want us to fight for your freedoms, you need to show that those freedoms apply to every African, gays & Afrikaners included. Then, when you speak, your words will carry more credibility.
