  1. Violence is unacceptable & criminals need to be held accountable, whether they are South African or foreign. But the biggest issue is the hypocrisy. It’s hard to take the 'Pan-Africanism' cry seriously when it’s one-sided. You want the AfCFTA and 'free movement' to protect you from prejudice here, yet back home, many of those same voices are happy to persecute the LGBTQI+ Africans. You can’t demand human rights for yourself while denying them to others. If you want us to fight for your freedoms, you need to show that those freedoms apply to every African, gays & Afrikaners included. Then, when you speak, your words will carry more credibility.

There are 673 designated BMA law enforcement officers for a population of 62 million people, so you can understand why communities have taken it upon themselves to go door to door checking people's statuses. It's not correct, but this is the situation we find ourselves in when migrants lie, claiming to be tourists to obtain a visa with the intention of staying in South Africa.

  2. I can tell you that this ambassador is as good as nothing, shameless sort of people. We have been in south africa for years and many Nigerians are being harassed everyday just for being a Nigerian.

  3. Anyone who has read a poem titled 'Nightfall in Soweto' by Oswald Mbuyiseni Mtshali will not be surprised by this news from South Africa. My concern is the way we are treating ourselves publicly. When you wash your dirty linen outside, what reaction are you expecting from people? Many times, it is always a negative reaction, which is the experience many countries that have been attacked are having presently in South- Africa. Is quite unfortunate.

  4. Why can't Nigerians just go back home??? What is so scary there??? Nigeria 🇳🇬 is your home, South Africa 🇿🇦 is where you visited, not to stay. It's obvious that you are not welcomed… Don't argue with the host😢😢😢. Just leave if asked, for peace sake. Right now your presence is creating tensions. Ambassador, advise Nigerians to leave ASAP, like any responsible Country does for its citizens. Don't advise them to stay indoors 😂😂😂…
