Foreign nationals march in Durban amid tensions

Foreign nationals who sought refuge at a Durban police station are now marching through the city, calling on authorities to intervene and protect them.

The group says they were forced out of their communities amid rising tensions, intimidation and attacks.
Many say they fled their homes, fearing for their safety and sought shelter at the police station.

They say they are legal refugees who came to South Africa escaping conflict, instability and economic hardship in their home countries.

  1. It often feels like South Africans don’t care about others – not even their own people, let alone fellow Africans – and that’s truly disheartening. If we continue down this path and become like the countries we once criticised, we may find ourselves being judged in the same way.

  2. They Started Killing You but You Are being Interviewed 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂So You RESURRECTED 🤷 😏😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

  3. I am not from SA! But Sometimes, I do wonder when people say the SA government should tighten its borders to curb illegal immigration. But my view is simple: African countries must also tighten their border posts to ensure that their citizens are moving in and out of their countries legally. We don't have to place that burden on the SA government when actually all African governments are failing on the same front.

African Union knows this better. In my view, this is the reason they don't come in to rebuke the alleged xenophobic killings in SA. They have miserably failed. They cant sanction SA coz these other African States must ensure legal migration first, tighten their borders and these illegal immigrants will not even reach SA.

When Africa was monarchical, no kingdom wud pass thru another kingdom without seeking authorization. That wud be an act of war. Possibly, democracy has failed Africa! Possibly, we must adopt a monarchical system of governance cos we wil be able to defend our territory from perceived intruders without being subjected to scrutiny by whosoever.

  4. They said they are not leaving our south Africa i see war between citizens and illegal immigrants if government doesn't take their friends to go home they will be pool of blood don't blame citizens of south Africa blame Africa national Congress
