The Walnut Street Revue returned to the Kentucky Center for the Arts Saturday night, marking its 15th year honoring Louisville’s rich Black history.The theme of this year’s event was “Let the Good Times Roll at the Top Hat Club,” which was meant to pay tribute to the Black communities that once lined Walnut Street.From the 1930s through the 1950s, the district served as the heart of the city’s Black business and social community.The Walnut Street Revue works to preserve the history and significance of the neighborhood, while also celebrating those who helped shape it.WLKY’s Caray Grace served as the emcee for this year’s event.
