It’s June 30. The day anti-immigrant groups in South Africa gave foreign nationals an ultimatum to leave the country.
And as expected, protests have already begun. Large crowds have taken to the streets in places like Soweto, demanding that foreign nationals leave. Police have been deployed across Johannesburg and surrounding areas, arrests have been made, and authorities have warned that anyone who takes the law into their own hands will face the consequences.
But for many Africans living in South Africa, those assurances may not be enough.

So have they left? Noone is leaving South Africa is the bomb.
Your voice will be heard all over the world for good in the mighty name of Jesus.
The truth is immigration is not just a south african issue but one which is occurring in any country which offers a better life than the many that offer very little to their own people.
I can see that poor south Africans see themselves being displaced in the workforce or see their wages kept down due to a constant stream of people who are willing to work for less.
While poor South Africans suffer a minority that own businesses excel due to low labour costs and an increase in customers. These two issues cause the rift between reasonably well off and very poor enlarge.
My point being is that those doing well want more and always will. They don't care about their own people and only care about their own country in how it's linked to their own finances. Nationality is now under threat and globalisation taking over. Remember when factories left for cheaper labour. Now people are being imported for the same reason.
We shall wait and see what happens from here💔
Please talk facts. Stop this advocacy of hate.
You are not talking about the distraction caused by our African brothers
Ojo, South Africa is not xenophobic, you are making this biased claim, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH illegal immigration is a criminal act, and we have millions of illegal foreiners, so you are clearly not respecting our immigration laws, and the birth rights of South Africans. Nigerians are in particular rude, disrespectful to our country but they are not in their own country, they believe they own South Africa conducting unregulated business and selling drugs
