Traoré EXPOSES How Religion Is Being Weaponized Against Africa

On July 16, 2026, at Ouahigouya in the Yaadga region, Captain Ibrahim Traoré delivered the most sensitive speech of his presidency — a direct address on religion, extremism, and the future of Burkina Faso. A Muslim head of state told his own religious community that no faith stands above the nation, that preachers of hate will be suspended, and that more than 800 young Burkinabè quietly studying Sharia in Arab countries will be brought home.

In this episode, we report exactly what Traoré said, why he said it, and what it means for the whole continent. Then we widen the net to Nigeria — a country of over 230 million people, where the political elite have turned religion into a tool of power: state-funded pilgrimages in the national budget, Sharia criminal codes in 12 states of a constitutionally secular republic, and a divide-and-rule playbook that keeps Christians and Muslims suspicious of each other while the same politicians loot both sides.

This is not an attack on faith. Faith connects millions of Africans to God, to hope, and to each other. This is a report on what happens when religion is captured — by armed groups, by foreign funders, and by politicians — and about the African leaders finally saying: enough.

  1. Tell us which country you are chatting from 🌍

Ibrahim Traoré’s message has opened a difficult but necessary conversation about religion, extremism, politics, and national sovereignty. I want your honest opinion:

1⃣ Are Traoré’s policies necessary national self-defense—or is the government stepping too far into matters of faith? Where should the line be drawn?

2⃣ Should Nigeria completely remove religion from government affairs, including public pilgrimage funding and religious criminal laws? What would happen to any Nigerian leader who attempted it?

3⃣ Senegal is overwhelmingly Muslim but remains a peaceful, secular republic. What makes the difference: responsible leadership, reduced foreign influence, or how citizens practise their faith?

Can your country separate religion from political power without separating people from God?

👇 Answer one question or all three. Please debate respectfully—criticize ideas, not religions or fellow Africans.

  2. So many people of color have been brainwashed by religion which wasn't even part of melanated people's worshiping we were a spiritual based people many want to keep to the thing their oppresser gave them as a way of worshiping them instead of what the creator gave us to stay connected with him and be grounded to mother earth 🌎 please 🙏🏾 my people wake up before we parish. From being divided and they are all against us they don't want us to come together so we will stay divided so they can continue to be oppressed by others

  3. All religions are man-made. No one has ever seen God before, so it's foolish for anyone to believe that there's a God somewhere who is saying all those things in any of the religious books in the world. A few human beings are controlling all these religions in the world, and are using them to control the rest of the people in this world. Any person who claims that he or she got his or her message from God is a complete liar, period!!! Religion is the greatest scam in the history of mankind!!!

  4. The evidence walks up to you everyday of your life and which you refuse to acknowledge: Only IMAGINATION is THE ONE TRUE GOD and also is the only source of his power and very existence.

  6. They need the 1st people on the planet worshipping them, that is how they became wealthy. Converting slaves and non educated people. If you worship with them then you disrespect the ancient tortured ancestors. They want us under them. HELL NO. the ANCESTORS are watching and the SUN 🌞 of the creator is preparing. You are seeing the warnings now. Embrace the SUN 🌞 . Get far away from religions

  7. Islam is for Arabs, Christianity is for Europeans. MAAT is for black people. They will destroy each other in an attempt to control. Black people have been beaten into religions since the death of The Greek, Alexander the Great. We are so bamboozled that we don't know that the Pharaohs are our ancestors but we let the arab steal culture while praying to them sad. .. you know they want to control the largest African populations. They both hate black people you can see that so why and how the H #=$ would you be in any of that your culture has MAAT. Blacks have MAAT that loves you but they want to be under the whip. GET FAR AWAY from other people's religions that have NOTHING to do with or for black people .

  8. I really admire this young man. He seems to have a clear picture of what needs to be done for his country. He doesn't rely on others. He rolls up his sleeves and gets things done.

  9. SOKAGAKKAI INTERNATIONAL SUPPORTS YOUR VIEWS.
SOKA SCHOOL SYSTEM SUPPORTS YOU VIEWS AND COUNTLESS MORE . BUILD STRONG YOUTH FAMLY ORIENTED THAT SUPORTS WISE LEADERS AND HELPS BUILD THE NATION SPIRITUALLY AND INFRASTRUCTURE MARERIALLY.

  10. He is extremely brave and has the integrity that so many Western leaders lack. He understands that religion is a personal affair that is between each person and their own God.
Also sure If these people's God is as powerful as they claim then they do they need to go around passing Judgment and their fellow man and making them suffer.

  11. I agree with Traore. Africa was before religion. Christianity and Islam are tools that colonizers have used to take from Africa. Man created religion. South Sudan example. Arab Africans killing African Christians is dumb. My brothers and sisters are more important to me.

  12. Religion is being Use as a Weapon against BURKINA FASO,,, this is Evil….. That Religion is FALSE religion,,, God don't do Evil, therefore their Religion being Used Against BURKINA FASO to CONTROL BURKINA FASO,,,, NOT TO BE,,,
