It's not the govts responsibility to save a business. Spirit was in trouble for years. You can't stay alive on cheap fares forever. The fuel is not the issue. Other airlines adjust by increasing their fares slightly. Plus, Iran has threatened the white USA for years. Even took out Americans. You can't throw smoke at white Americans without anticipating kickback.
Now other airlines can bid for Spirits flights! This is sad!😮
