Giving someone something based on their race (or gender) is an insult…you are telling them (without telling them) that you don’t believe they could achieve it on their own. It’s degrading to assume that someone can’t achieve a grade (or goal) because of gender or race.

Being judged solely on one’s merit would be great if racial bias didn’t exist. The reason this is an issue is because white applicants DO have an advantage over non-white applicants despite having the same, and sometimes lesser, qualifications. That is not a Gen Z or leftist opinion, that is a fact. Those who choose to ignore that fact are ignoring the implications of systemic racism.

My parents have money so I had SAT coaches, tutors, and plenty of second chances. Private tutors are WAY better than ordinary teachers. It’s not even close.
