Algeria Shoots Down Mali’s Drone, Triggers Diplomatic Standoff | Vantage with Palki Sharma | N18G
In the first week of April, Algeria shot down a drone that belonged to the Malian military. Algeria said that the drone was armed and violated its airspace. Mali has dismissed the allegations and said that the drone was carrying out a routine flight and did not violate the airspace. Now, the two countries have closed down their airspaces to each other. Backing Mali are the military juntas of Burkina Faso and Niger who have recalled their ambassadors from Algeria as tensions continue to escalate. Meanwhile, Bamako has accused Algiers of “sponsoring terrorist activities” in the Sahel region. Palki Sharma tells you more.

Algeria should provide evidence,if no concrete; Algeria is a terrorist state.sponsoring terrorism as alleged by mali.
It is a secret for nobody that Algier elite support terrorism in the region, across Sahara (Mali, Morocco, Mauritania…). Mali didn't violate anything, they fought terrorist, the drone ess shut down as provocation and to help terrorists.
😢so it was found in Mali and not Algeria? Smell fishy
Please look at the bigger picture; if you go into war only France wins
🤔🤔 Algeria help US.. Us sponsoring all Terorist.. Keep watch good this border..
False flag
Algeria are Arabs not African they support terrorist coz they call themselves Arabs so this regime supports terrorist
Algerians are french slaves so what do you expect, they will surely support their master
idak kul aduzan a iddinent at nine mazzagin aiddinet isteop inartion
Calling Algeria a state in support of terrorists is absurd, Algeria was the first country to fight terrorism and paid a high price in the 90s, also just a reminder about the Tiguentourine attack by a terrorist Group coming from Mali, what did the Algerian authorities do? If they were funding them and supporting them would they attack one of the most critical sites of the country??? Stop playing with African minds whoever is doing this is seeking division in Africa so they can keep control. I would like to add that Algeria lost 4 of its diplomats in Mali slaughtered by the terrorist because they were trying to negotiate peace. In addition to our brothers in Mali, Niger and Burkina Faso, why replace one foreign power with another to fight terrorism, when you have a neighbour and ally with experience in such struggles, the division is what others want don't fall in the trap. This is not Panafricanisme and it is not being black or not so black that makes you a Pan Africanist or not, it is your actions. Peace and Prosperity in Africa – Wake up Africa really wake up.
Then why did it fall in mali,i loved your news before but if you continue to help the West and some Africa corrupt puppet president to disteblise Africa,God will disteblise your country
African nations and their leaders are often unjustly portrayed as antagonists by the Western world, despite the continent’s absence of nuclear armament, its non-involvement in foreign military aggression, and its consistent adherence to peaceful coexistence. Ironically, while Africa refrains from launching missiles or invading sovereign states, it remains the primary target of relentless resource exploitation—a legacy perpetuated by former colonial powers.
Whenever Africans resist economic subjugation and assert their right to sovereignty and equitable development, they are hastily vilified, while global actors responsible for devastation and conflict are perceived as legitimate and respectable. This troubling narrative is further reinforced by the strategic politicization and instrumentalization of Western development institutions—such as the United Nations, World Health Organization, International Monetary Fund, World Bank, and World Food Programme—which often operate in ways that hinder rather than enhance Africa’s growth trajectory.
In light of this entrenched bias and systemic marginalization, it is imperative for African nations to reconsider their geopolitical alignments. A decisive pivot towards strategic alliances with nations like Russia and China, and full integration into BRICS, may offer a more balanced, respectful, and mutually beneficial framework for sustainable development and sovereignty.
The persistent labeling of Africa as the "ShitHole", “third world,” a “poverty capital,” or worse—all while under the Western oversight—raises a fundamental question: why should Africa continue to align with a system that perpetuates its underdevelopment? It is time to reimagine our path forward—one that includes terminating foreign military installations that serve Western interests and instead embracing alternative global partnerships that prioritize African dignity, autonomy, and progress.
Its all french underminding them from rising to power.
Where African Union peaceful intervention and talks is needed now before they start wasting life and resources fighting needless war ?
