We made a mistake sanctioning South Africa 30 years ago. We should’ve left them alone to run their country as they saw fit. Clearly, those people knew something we did not. It was a wonderful country full of immense promise. First heart transplant in the world. First class medical system and excellent advances in the sciences. GDP was on par with countries in Europe and the rest of the developed world. Now? It’s a sad and pitiful place.
